I am an expert photographer who specializes in the creation and production of digital photo assets for leading retailers, medical, and corporate brand clients.
With over 16 years of experience in corporate advertising, I ensure my clients and I succeed by developing fun and collaborative relationships with clear communication. It’s through problem solving and the fundamental process of photography that I effectively manage the medium and its tools to produce imagery that will tell your story or feature your product in engaging and dynamic ways.
I have been successfully operating my photo business since 2018. Before starting my own business I worked for the Wisconsin-based department store Bon-Ton Inc. Some of you may know them as Boston Store, Carson Pirie Scott or Younkers, amongst other name plates. I succeeded through the ranks of Bon-Ton’s commercial photo studio, from assistant to photographer. I developed interpersonal, technical, and creative skills that grew into leadership roles, including managing photo teams on location. I worked on staff for ten years before the company ultimately closed.
I strive to be adaptable in all working environments. I value the power of communication and thrive in a creative team atmosphere. As someone whose career developed from the ground up, I keep my ego in check and believe there is no position below me. We truly are a team.
I understand the importance of working thoughtfully with others in challenging and, oftentimes, sensitive environments. I take great pride in my professional relationships on set and in the field with clients, as well as with art directors, assistants, coordinators, hair and makeup artists, producers, product stylists, set designers, talent (adults and children), wardrobe stylists, and others.
Some achievements in my career include working as a staff concert photographer at a number of Milwaukee’s premier music venues. I’ve worked for the Green Bay Packers, NASCAR, and the Milwaukee Iron/Milwaukee Mustangs (Arena Football League). I even went on a nationwide tour documenting the band Braid.
Recently, I’ve been discovering new challenges in the moving picture through video editing and coloring. Naturally progressing into the film and video worlds, the "director of photography" and "cinematographer’s" roles very much appeal to me. I’ve added video and video editing to my repertoire and am looking to produce a variety of video content.
